Cover of the Month
A great cover presented by the Webmaster. A super piece of postal history.
Fairchild Air Transport Service
This flight took place on October 20th 1926, from Haileybury to Rouyn.
This flight marked the first time the new dark blue company stamp (CL 11) was used. A new cachet was also used changing the company name to Fairchild Air Transport Limited (old company name was Elliot-Fairchild Air Transport Limited). The pilot of the flight, Glyn Burge signed all the cachets to this flight.
Of note, two envelopes were serviced with tete-beche blocks and seven with tete-beche pairs.
An interesting piece of postal history.
