Warschau (Warsaw) to Prague 15.11.17
This registered cover from Warsaw to Prague shows two censor markings. First, a two line purple handstamp of the Sixth Army Corps of the German occupying forces, “geprüft/P.Ü.d.Vl.A.K.” (Post Überwachungsstelle der Vl Armee Korps), and secondly a printed tape “Staatspolizeilich eröffnet” along with a dark pink St.P. handstamp. The folded censor tape reads “Státni policii otevreno” on the reverse side of the cover. Both translate as “opened by the state police”.
Police censor markings are not often seen.
A nice piece of Polish postal history!
