A very nice UX5 postal card with a London cancel on the front from December 29, 1893. The card was sent to the town of Sandwich and arrived on December 29, 1893. The card was sent to the Treasurer of Essex county regarding the amount of taxes owed on a piece of property located in the Township of Tilbury. The town of Sandwich has a rich history with European settlement dating back to 1701. By 1935, Sandwich, along with Walkerville and Ford City, amalgamated with Windsor. A nice piece of Essex County postal history!
